Cab lights installation

I would like to put cab lights on my reg. cab chevy in the near future but I was wondering how hard they are to pu in. Does the carpet on the ceiling come down as a section or do I have to pull the carpet back?

You should have a cloth covered foam-board panel for the headliner. You may be able to lower the front edge enough to run your wiring.

They're really easy... But most trucks look better without em

well i really like them how does the board come down?

You'll probably have to take off a pillar covers, handles, and any consoles you may have. Then you should be able to just pop it down.

i dont have any over head consoles so it should just be the pillars right?

i personally wouldnt ever install them on a truck that dosent have them from the factory. from what i have seen they almost always leak into the roof and are hard to keep sealed up.

 

if you do install make sure you line up the holes correctly, that can be the hardest part
