Complete Sound System Overhaul

Greetings,

I have just completed phase two of my truck audio/visual overhaul.  Right now, I am taking a break (to pay off some bills) before starting phase three.

The sound quality I am getting is awesome, however phase three will consist of getting more bass!

For all interested, I had a custom sub-bass box build and wrapped with factory vinyl (matches leather seats perfectly) that fits between the center console and rear sear like a glove.  For now I am using a single 10" Aluminum Eclipse Sub that sounds incredible, even with the very limited air space.

Here is the link to my image archive:

Works best with IE.

Enjoy, more to come later...

What did you cover the speaker grilles with?  Looks #### good so far....and how did you make your amp and cap wiring look so clean or did a stereo place do that?

Greetings,

I am getting most of the work done at a stereo shop in Pasadena, CA and I was there at least 6 hours a day assisting where I can.

I have 8" mids with 1.1" soft dome tweets in the front doors and 7" mid with 1.1" soft dome tweeters in the rear.  All mids and highs are being driven by my 4X100 Zapco C2K-4.0X amp.  I am totally satisfied with my Zapco Amp and Dynaudio Speakers, the power & sound clarity is amazing.

Most custom stereo shops have regular BLACK speaker grill fabric that you can use to cover the stock gray metal speaker covers.  You will have to take your door panels off to get to the stock covers.  You just spray on adhesive and lightly stretch the fabric over the grills and wrap the fabric around the back of the grill.  Very cheap and easy!

I need to take more after pictures but my Nikon digital camera broke when I dropped it.  OOUUUUUUCH!!!!

Take care,
