Trucks knocking, with video

Sounds like to me too. You can take an automotive stethoscope to aid in tracking down your sound

Ok I just used the mechanic stethoscope, and listening to the bell housing area couldn't hear the knocking, but when put near the headers on the drivers side i could hear the knock. I'm not sure if its amplifying there or what.. Can someone give me there opinion on where to go next, like next place to check or possibilities.. For those that don't know, I'm a firefighter and will be at the station tomorrow, and I'd like to somewhats figure this out to possibly get in there tomorrow and work on it while at the station. So any parts I might need would need to be bought today. Thanks

Listening with the stethoscope on both sides of the engine I can hear the rotational ticking/rubbing. On the metal shield that goes over the header I can hear the knocking(on both sides).

And just to clarify, the knocking doesnt go away after warm up, it stays. It doesn't matter if I'm driving, in park, or neutral.

is it an exhaust leak at the deader/pipe connection ? , thats what i heard

cup your hand close to the connection without touching and feel the pulses of exhaust or visually look for soot ,,,use a light ,it helps alot

I am going to guess a bad catalytic converter, my old 02 did that and I swore I was going to need a new engine. After a while it started randomly knocking and it got to the point I could not step over 1/2 throttle without it cutting out due to excessive exhaust back pressure.

I totally agree, sounds like an exhaust leak.

Generally speaking if it is a "plugged cat", some other problem caused the failure, check your O2 sensors.
