Do I even have them? No DIC.. Work truck model.

TPMS has been mandatory for quite a few years now. You do not need to have DIC to have TPMS. My 2010 SL did not come with DIC, and has TPMS. Easy way to verify, put your spare on, and leave the tire you take off in the garage. You should get a warning sometime that day while driving around. You do have DIC, it is just a very basic one that uses the Trip Odo reset button to switch between functions.

I am assuming that the TPMS can be transferred from one wheel to another no?

You can put all the TPMS in your spare if you don't like them.

It would be hell to try to get them seen by the system should one require to be enabled or sync'd to the vehicle. All 4 sensors would respond to the pressure change used to sync sensor.

Yes it can, my point was to remember it needs to be looked into.

If any one has a set of the silver, 8 oval hole, 17 inch wheels for sale I would be interested. I believe they are opt NX7. I will probably post an ad in the classified section.

Ok... so now I am looking at Cragar Soft 8's for my truck instead of the stock take-offs or spares. Looks like Cragar only offers soft 8's in 17x7 or 17x8. The stock steel wheels are 17x7.5. I am wondering if anyone knows what the backspacing is on the 17 inch stock 8 hole wheels. I believe they are Hollander #8069. I have googled the wheels and most sellers list everything but backspacing. I am trying to find a comparable Cragar soft 8 as close to the OEM size steel wheel as I can get.

Let me know if you guys can help.

Thanks

Yeah, I got soft 8s. They are 17x9 with a 0 offset, and they fit great. They fit so that the bulge of my 35" tire is only slightly wider than the fender flare. Plus, with the 0 offset rather than the -12 like most people suggested, I can run the 35s with only a 3" body lift and a torsion crank (about 1.5"). I like them with the factory chrome caps better than with the chrome lugs and caps that Cragar sells. Everyone tried to talk me out of them because they said they would look cheap, and they did for a little while, until I got the lift put on. They looked even better (to me anyway) when I got the 35s.

Ive never seen any on a 900 series truck, other than the Tahoes with that package that copies the "police package", but those are lowered. Never seen any on a 4wd or any kind of lifted truck (not sure if yo uhave a lift, but you know what I mean).

Thanks Z71 AST... Your truck looks good. I am looking at 17x8 for my 2010 but unsure about the backspacing. I plan on trying to stuff 285/70/17 AT tires on the truck but don't want to run into issues with rubbing. I do have a leveling kit installed and duraflap mud flaps. I live off of a nasty dirt road and want to protect my rockers and rear bedsides. So, I am just unsure what GM uses for the backspacing on their steel wheels. I guess I could measure for myself.. figured I would ask though. Cragar offers a 4.5 inch back spacing with 0 offset. I am wondering how close this is to the Stock steel wheels GM puts on these trucks.

ns2012gmc.... I like the black on black. Looks nice!!!
