Rotating tires...

Looking through the owners manual of my 09 Silverado it shows a diagram of rotating the front tires to the back and crossing them to the other side. (front left goes to the right rear, and front right goes to left rear.) and of course the same with the rear tires going to the front.

 

I thought tires were supposed to continue rotating the same direction so the tread would not separate.

 

Have they changed this?

 

I have the 20" "Touring tires".

Unless your tires have directional arrows on the sidewall, they can be used in any direction.
