Got on here to see how to determine if frame or mounts on my 02 was bad. ...saw this and thinking frame. He has 372,000 MI on him. Can't buy another as need the credit to buy my farm from ex and saving for down payment. Not trying to horn in on op question, let me know if you want me to delete and make new thread. If repaired could I still haul stone, firewood, etc?

It really depends on several things like how much are you planning to haul at one time, is the rest of the frame deteriorated too much to be able to actually weld repair plates to, and finally, are you just using the truck on the farm, or do you use it on the highway.

372000 miles, 16 years old, living in the rust belt, the truck is about shot. Having lived in the south all my life, I had never seen what salt did to a car or truck until a couple of years ago. If it was me, I would repair if possible "for farm use only".
