Total Automotive Door Hinge Kit

This past weekend I was able to install my new door hinge repair kit. After reading post on here the common opinion pointed towards Total Automotive parts verses other aftermarket choices. Someone before me installed aftermarket kits from Napa I am guessing. I used the cherry picker to hold the door while I removed the old parts. Once I lifted the door off the hinge pins I left the door in place and rested it against the hinges. The old pins pulled right out and most of the bushings were so worn they fell right out. The new parts were super easy to install and just like install video said it took right at 30 minutes to complete the whole thing from start to finish.

 

I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking to complete this repair on their pickup. I also recommend spending the extra to have the parts painted to match your color.

 

I did purchase the tools sold by them, one to remove the door pins and one to install the bushings.

The tool is what makes it nice for doing this job. Plus if you use their tool, you get a 12 mos. warranty on the hinge parts
