Does anyone know if the new nav unit can be setup to access iPod/iPhone audio through Bluetooth like the 2014's can?

Also the manual says you can transfer files to the hard drive but doesn't say how

Wait, you want to transfer files via Bluetooth on a 2013 Hdd nav unit?

If so, that is not an option. The transfer they are talking about is via USB only from what I have seen.

And it works pretty well via USB, IMO. I don't have anything Apple though.

God only knows what "heartbreak of excessive compatibility" Apple wants to avoid so I don't know with Apple.

I clearly didn't explain myself properly, 2 questions not one, figured out how to transfer the files from USB, I'm having to go around the houses to get Sirius radio into my truck (special harness etc) but even that doesn't give me any images or data on what's playing, Sirius has a new product out called Lynx which can communicate via Bluetooth and send not only audio but album covers, streaming audio etc, I know from my brief time driving a 2014 that the new stereo unit in them can pluck all data including album covers from my Iphone via bluetooth, the Lynx once it is available would appear to be a perfect match allowing all sorts of options, of course I dont have a 2014, I have a 2013.

So what I was asking is can the 2013 Denso Nav communicate with bluetooth for audio?

Your question was fine. The rum and cokes I had before answering did not help my answer or the tone of my answer.

Either I have missed it or the 2013 still does not support streaming audio via Bluetooth. The Bluetooth is only for 'telephone' functions. As you have noticed, the 2014's are much more advanced.

I will go through the menu's and such again and double check.

Using a Galaxy S4, I could ascertain no method of bringing in audio via Bluetooth. Tried rebooting the phone/repairing/etc. Tried removing the phone from the truck radio and re-adding. I think I have read in this forum that it is not supported.

Lol no problem, I was coming to that conclusion, I guess back to plan B, I've got a Sirius Edge coming, I may have to take it apart and see if I can snag the video output that goes to the LCD and input that through the RSE video, better than nothing I guess
