They have a back up cam available on camera source.com for the new 2014 silverados.

 

my question is/ since it comes with a new mirror does that affect my current onstar account or will it be the same when i press the blue button?

The blue button is just a button, as long as the wiring is correct it should not affect your OnStar....

Correct, the Onstar module is located somewhere else in the truck.

should be a new mirror that has both on star and the backup monitor
