Just decided to register here. I ordered a new 2014 Chevy Silverado 4 weeks ago and just talked to the dealer to find that they moved the build date up and the truck should already be built. 09/05/13 Build week.

I have owned numerous Ford trucks over the years and two s-10 Blazers. I looked @ the fullsize Chevy's back in 2007 but found the powerplants to be lacking. I bought a Toyota Tundra in 2007 and have had great luck with it, but always felt that it was rather hungry when towing. My Toyota only has 62,000 mi. and is flawless.

At work I drive a 2008 Chevy 2500 HD w/ 6.0 and tow a boat about 95% of the time. I have always liked the look of the Chevy Trucks, but continue to think the powerplants of the Vortec platform needed an upgrade. 2014!!! Finally an Engine platform that I feel has made the step forward needed to make it a serious contender in my decision to buy a Chevy.

I spend a lot of time around Direct Injection Marine outboards and own an Etec by BRP. This technology is a proven torque building concept and efficient to boot. I am looking forward to owning a 2014.

Sorry to ramble on
