Out of 20" Chrome Aluminum wheels?

My local dealer is telling me that they are not able to order the 20" chrome aluminum wheels for the Sierra any longer. They are out of stock. I want to order a SLT, with the same 20" Chrome Aluminum that come on the Sierra SLT Value package. They are currently out of stock and don't know when they will be able to get them in. That can't be possible.....

 

I think it has to be mis-information on their part or them trying to get me to buy a truck on their lot.

 

Has anyone heard the same thing?

 

Also, what is turnaround time when ordering the SLT with the 5.3?

Sometimes, seen it on the Camaro, items will not be available for awhile. It happen with the new 20 inch wheels on the '13 and GM had to use '12 wheels on early '13 SS Camaros. But they still shipped Camaro SS. The 20 Bright machined aluminum whs on the SLE are nice. But cannot order on the SLT

Should be a temporary thing. They had a shortage of the Chevy 20" wheels when they first started building them also. When I ordered my GMC with the value package I didn't have a problem.

I am sure it will be temporary. I was told when I ordered my truck the iridium mettalic paint was on constraint at the factory. Regardless of what they said I still received my truck in 6 weeks.

be glad you didn't get the ugly ass wheels like on my AT SLT . I could've had different wheels at a different dealership but i did want a GMC and i got a fantastic price and all the AT had these wheels. hate them!

lol yea they are aweful!! I like the A/T machined wheels, and i got the heated seats, but i heard and read many reviews that the cooled seats blew hot air out from behind the drivers seat and on to the rear passengers making them even hotter.

I plan on sittin in the back seat of the SLT that has heated and cooled seats and I'm going to see for myself how 'bad' the hot air blows out the rear of the seats on the rear passengers. I find it hard to believe it would be so bad I wouldn't want that option. I kind of think the amount of cold air blowing from the front of the vehicle would override the hot-air from the rear of the seat. But..... I haven't yet sat in the truck to know for sure. To be determined. Being here in Texas I may not care how much hot air is blown out on rear passengers. ;) I just may have to be selfish and have cold seats on my hiney when its 100 degrees in August.

Good luck on that and let the rest of us know. The picture I saw was some vertical vents above the pocket on the rear of the front seats. I am like you though i am only sitting in the drivers seat!! lol. my other car is a 13 Genesis Coupe and people always say " it doesn't look like it has rear leg room!" ....my reply is " don't care i will be in the drivers seat!". It gets hot here in arkansas but not Texas " i just stepped into a oven at 7 pm HOT!" .

_{Tried ordering a 2014 SLT with the Crew Cab Value package today and still the 20" Chrome Aluminum wheels are out of stock. I understand things happen, but HOW do you not have wheels available when someone is ready to spend $50,000 boggles me.}

 

_{If I were the CEO I'd have a serious talk with production/inventory manager. I don't mind waiting, just seems like an issue that should not occur, somewhat preventable. The longer it takes, the more money I will be saving as rebates increase.}
