I was thinking about puttin XM in my @002 2500HD crew cab....is there a way to replace the casette player with an XM tuner????  How good are the Delphi models??

You lost me there. You dont have to lose the cassette player to add xm. It can all go thru your antenna. I dont know if your stereo is xm ready or not though. The tuner does not have much function. I have all kenwood equipment, which was surpisingly cheaper than the delphi.  :wtf:

I run a Sony head unit that controls the XM. All with wireless remote. One word of caution, I was using the window mount antenna, XM-11, and broke it while in the woods. Anyone who off roads at all should really use the roof mount, I will be switching as soion as the weather allows. By the way I love XM.

I believe it would be cheapest to do this (but I could be wrong):

Check out JP Customs for the AUX Inputs that hooks up through the stock head unit.  Then go to a car stereo shop (I do not reccommend places like Best Buy or Circuit City) and have them install the receiver for XM and the Antennae.  The one my dad got has a small screen which he mounted below his factory head unit (not a GM car/truck) so he knows which XM station he is on.

I will say though, that no matter how you plan on doing it, the antennaes and receivers are not exactly cheap.  Check out ebay, they sometimes have some good deals, but those are extra hard to find.  Hope it helped.

You absolutely cannot beat the price circuit city has right now!! For 129.98 you get everything you need to have XM run to your factory head. The lcd display comes with the fm modulator as well as the remote. This is on the sirius stereo system. Which is the same as XM. If your stereo is XM ready I dont know how much it cost to go that way, But I know if not its going to cost 400 or so far the equipment only. :smash:  :smash:
