The FIPK has a less restrictive intake tube and a cold air box.  I would guess the difference between the FIPK and the drop in would be double the performance.

The FIPK is less restrictive. IMO unless your doing some racing or have the extra cash no need to spend the money. Just get the drop in. K&N, Accell, Amsoil are a few that make cleanable filters. The advantage to them are less restriction and cleanable. So one your not filling land fills, you can clean it as often as you want and have a fresh filter.

I just went with a drop in. Figured I don't race, or do a ton of heavy hauling. Maybe when I win the lottery I will upgrade to a full system, but untill then no need to spend that cash.

The K&N FIPK doesnt make a whole lot of difference unless you have your trucked piped.  But if you have them both doen, it makes a big difference.  If you are taking in that much more air, you have to be able to shoot it back out. You will LOVE the difference. Especailly in how it sounds!
