on to the next project- i have a new 2013 gmc 2500 wt model that i have been adding some mods to. my next add on is to add remote start . whats the best aftermarket remote start for a diesel with the delay when its cold? i dont think mine is upgradeable to the factory remote start thanks

I've had good luck with Compustar and DEI Units I wouldn't use anything else but these ones personally

bump to the top as i need to do this now. how hard was it to install the compustar? i would rather not cut and splice wires on a new truck. i just emailed the company to find out if there are and retailers or installers in my area

The DEI ones are Clifford, Vipor etc. correct? From what I've heard they require a lot of extra tie in to the factory electronics and end up more than doubling the cost. I think I'd prefer the Compustar setup as it seems to plug directly into the stock setup and away you go.

 

Am I wrong on that?
