Hopefully they didn't just change the cam and it lost a lobe..... If it did the engine is otherwise garbage from all that bearing damage. I hope that isn't the case

Got my truck back from the dealership yesterday afternoon and its running great. There were two bad lifter rollers (1 AFM lifter and 1 standard lifter). One of the lifters started to damage a cam lobe. The other cam lobe wasn't as bad as the one in the picture but it was starting to get scored. I have to give it to the dealership.

Gm and there junk LS7 lifters ( the non AFM ones are what I am referring too). I cringe when people use those in performance builds.... I would bin any set of them and never run them. My 09 2500hds 6 liter did the same thing... and it had no AFM of course. Gm put a new long block in it though.. but it had a dead hole versus just making noise. That's enough material though I would have been pulling caps and checking rods and mains. There likely is some embedded material and scoring for sure. Run it I guess and see how long it lasts.
