ltz vs lt w/ All star package vs lt

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and i am considering buying a new truck. I drove a buddies 2014 ltz and was impressed. I was originally only really shopping ford but this truck won me over hands down.

 

So back to my question, can someone explain the differences between the trim models i listed above? I went by my local chevy dealership but they didn't have many 2014's to look at, and the salesman was pretty useless.

 

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance guys!

http://www.chevrolet.com/silverado-1500-pickup-truck/specs/options.html allows you to compare LT and LTZ side by side. You can see what's included and available on each trim level. You can then select the all star package to see what it includes to get a closer approximation. Just remember the LTZ comes standard with the V8 so don't forget to add that if you do a build and price.

I went through the same process a few weeks ago. I was on the fence between the LTZ and the LT1 all star package. I ended up going with the LTZ as the price difference after adding all the options to the LT was pretty small. The LT does not allow you to get leather bucket seats, you have to go aftermarket so that is something to consider if you like bucket seats. The LTZ over the all star adds projector beam headlamps, wood trim in the interior, chrome mirrors and door handles, chrome grill and the ability to get the leather bucket seats. As someone mentioned, the 5.3 is an option the LT, standard on LTZ. Hope this helps.

Strange... Do you not have fake wood on the inside of your doors? The several 1LZs I test drove had it...

Get the LTZ.... too many people on here buying trucks and then wishing they could go back and add things... or trying to add things at double the costs....

Z71 trucks (2LT and 2LZ) swap out wood for a faux carbon fiber looking trim.

As stated earlier, I have no plastic wood. There's plastic, but not the Fake wood.

I see above that it is a Z71 thing... I like the cocoa dune, how is it holding up so far?

Also, make sure you go with the 3.42 rear end. Quite a few stories on the forum of people that went with 3.08's and regret it

I did a search and had trouble finding anyone that said they had issues with the 3.08. What kind of issues are you talking about? The truck I ordered has the 3.08.

I'm pleased so far. I like the color combo, have the same in my wifes, 2013 2lz LTZ Malibu.

One of the differences between the LT and LTZ is the center floor consoles. I personally did not want one and got the Z71 LT with all star package.

What did you find different? I have the Z71 LTZ and got the 40/20/40 heated split bench. Not common, but I found one.
