2014 GMC Sierra navigation system manual?

:nonod: I have been experiencing the same problem with our new 2014 Sierra only mine stops at 17. Dealer checked on a couple other Sierras he had, one stopped at 21 and another stops at 17 as well. Dealer is trying to find info about it but nobody seems to know. I have been googling this issue for an hour or so and this is the only place I could find mention of it. The volume at 17 isn't so bad but sometimes we would like it quieter as well. I just somebody can figure out this annoying quirk. My dealer just asked me to call him and let him know if I find out anything!! I have just written GMC directly and hopefully somebody there can explain. So far all the dealer has been able to tell me is that you can turn down the navigation volume with the radio dial WHEN the navigation voice is talking (you have to be QUICK) but that also only goes down so far (a little less than 1/4 of the "bar" that shows up and it doesn't change the other adjustment that is stuck at no lower than 17. Maybe another software recall coming up? Seems like a computer glitch to me!

Mine only goes down to 16. Wonder why the different minimum numbers?

OK, I have been researching this issue and emailed GMC last night about it. They referred me to this phone number: 855-478-7767 which is their intellilink customer support number. I explained what the problem is and what measures have been attempted so far by people on this forum, myself, and my dealer, and he put me on hold to check his resources. Told him he wouldn't find anything and when he came back on, he agreed (chuckling)! Now he is going to contact the manager at my dealership who has been trying to help and he is also going to start a "technical issue report" so maybe if we ALL start calling the abovementioned number, somebody will finally get to the bottom of this. He agreed with me that it will probably be another software update. Wasn't it all easier when all we had to do was to run around to the front of the vehicle and turn a crank?

went the infotainment expert route myself, was just told we called the
dealer they verified that the vehicles on their lot are similar to yours
so that is the way it is sorry.
