And the majority of my interest in the truck has dwindled considerably lol! At least from a modding standpoint, there's a couple minor things I'd still like to do like add a bed extender, but that's about it for now.

I got a killer deal on my dream car- 2003 Z06 corvette 50th anniversary black on black. It's a one owner car with a hair over 13,000 miles. Listed for $28900 I walked away with it for just under $25000 tax/title etc included.

Have only driven it about 60 miles and its now stored away in my accommodating mother's garage (no garage at my house and she lives 7 miles away). I will say the thing is an absolute monster compared to past muscle cars I've owned even in bone stock form. I am getting a custom dyno tune and changing out the valve springs/spark plugs/wires in the near future though.

Nice catch!! I had a torch red 2003 Z06 that I used to road race. Goddam I loved that car. Probably one of the most fun rides I have owned.

I did long tubes, x pipe, catback, pfady sway bars, a Baer 6 piston brake swap, HRE wheels with Bridgestone RE11's for the street and C6Z06 replicas with Hoosier R6's for the track, plus a ton of other work.

If you aren't happy with the shifter feel, consider swapping in the stock shifter out of a C6Z06. Much more forgiving than an aftermarket short throw, but much better feel than the stock C5 shifter. Plus it's nearly a 30 minute swap if you don't drop any bolts.

I almost got a 97 corvette that had an ls3 that was mildly built from a guy I know that was in a flood I would've rebuilt it and sold it to buy a truck like mine and built it how I wanted it

Some pics attached, obviously w/ only 13k on the clock it is in pristine condition. I believe the former owner replaced the tailights w/ aftermarket because I haven't seen a Z06 w/ the white bottom 1/2, doesn't bother me but just curious if they could get the originals.

Me too, but they're too much $$$ And this is already handful to begin w/. The motor is classically underrated from the factory its more like 425-430HP based on dyno results. I imagine they wanted to be conservative w/ marketing it due to the LS2 C6 coming out directly after. I also am fond of the very "raw" muscle car feel of this C5 Z06 vs. the more refined isolation of the C6 Z06 - not that that car is tame by any means, but it is a different driving experience.

I had a 2008 C6 for about 2 years, loved that car a it was my dream car as well. Life and making sure the wife is happy had me sell it. May look at another one down the road or try to find a ZL1 Camaro down the road so we can do things as a family.

ZL1 Camaro is a nice car my friend has one, but for all its power is not as fast down the strip as it should be, heavy as all hell, difficult to launch, etc. if I were in the market for that I'd for sure look at the cts-v same engine and much nicer and faster too....not sure exactly why but it is.

I made my wife happy by getting this car in a way because she was tired of me always lamenting about not having a manual car to drive or a toy etc. I feel I got a killer deal, it's paid for, and I don't see me getting less than what I paid for it essentially if I needed to sell it for whatever reason.

If you're not a GM only guy and interested in a muscle car another great bang for the buck is either a Laguna seca edition 5.0 mustang or a 03-04 cobra mustang- extremely fast for the price.

I do like the magnetic ride control of the Camaro, but the V has that as well. Good luck!

Its not marketed as a "drag" car per se. Its more of a road course car and does plenty well there
