Wheels showed up will 2 months of salt ruin them?

Got these on sale... free shipping too. I'm thinking about throwing them on now or should I wait? I will have dedicated winter wheels from now on (I'll buy the tires sometime this summer) any thoughts? they are machined not chrome.

I'd wait , when my truck was brand new within the first month of winter the salt and brine started to corrode the alum at the edge of the chrome clad. these where the 20" chrome clad wheels

Machined is worse than chrome. Dont put them on now or you will regret it!

Yep.

 

When you do put them on, put a layer of wax on them, or something like the Adams Quick Sealant. Machined aluminum corrodes very easily.

I would wait until I got the tires I wanted, they look real good can't wait to see pics on the truck

Thanks guys... I went with the machined as these will not see winter and I am very skeptical of the quality if cheap chrome.... I'll just wait thanks!
