Happy New Owner, A Questions I Can't Find Answers To!

Hi everyone,

Finally got back into a truck after a 14 year stint in cars and SUVs. A car is a car but a truck is a friend!

I'll try and keep it's short since I'm on my phone, apologies for any typos.

I made a spectacular deal (they had false rebates online that we subsequently found out were deliberately done and I bent the GM's arm until he made me the deal) on a 2014 Sonoma metallic Red SLE with Value Package, Convenience package and a few extras (hitch, backup cam, tear window, parking assist, adjustable pedals, etc.).

I've come up with some questions in the 24 hours I've owned it that I can't seem to answer.

1) I have the front bench. It is odd for anyone else than when the 20% center portion is flipped up, the back doesn't move/slide/angle at all? It seems strange that it stays static. If your driver's seat is further back, your shoulder is cramped between the door jamb and the 20%. Am I missing something?

2) The intellilink has many pages of home screens available but only 5 apps. Is there any information or compiled listing of all apps available / coming?

3) The alert chime (door is open, lights left on) is incredibly loud. Is there a adjustment for this? I could only find info on previous years.

4) What's the latest software update version number for the 8" intellilink system without nav.

5) Im one of those drivers that's likes the headlights and foglights on. There seems to be no way todo that without either dealing with a "lights left on" chime and turning on the foglights manually each time. There's no remember setting? I found some not-definite info on this and the answer was no.

6) Any suggestions for immediate additions or tweaks that will make me love this truck more?

First- Welcome.

1-I do not believe that you can move the jump seat back and forth, I can't on mine.

2-Haven't seen anything on new apps, search the forum there is a thread on it.

3-I don't believe that you can adjust the chime, I hadn't noticed it to be loud until I took my Father in Law with me a couple weekends ago and he pointed it oout.

4-I dunno on this one.

5-Your stuck with turning it on every time.

There is a setting on your 8" screen under settings vehicle that adjust chime volume, Sonoma red is my color too really loks good with a fresh wax and sun. So far the listed apps on intellilink are all. Not sure on software mine has nav. No way without rewire to run fogs and headlights, no way to save them in on setting. (add aftermarket fogs?) Mine is bucket so not sure about jump seat, my 2007 with bench had no adjustment of jump either.

You cannot adjust the back on the 20% center section to correlate with the seat it is bolted solid to the floor - you would think it would move with either the passenger or driver seat but it does not

It is open source so who knows however when the market if it ever will open. If you go to the info pages on your DIC then you will find the address to read more about it

This can be adjusted via the vehicle settings on the radio - I know weird place to put it

This will have to be determined by your dealer for the hardware installed in your truck. I had mine updated a couple of weeks ago but I noticed it is different than the version they just updated my work truck to

This has been a discussion but it looks doable with a diode from under the hood just nobody on here has taken the initiative to do it. Believe it can be defeated just like the GM900s were.

Better floormats for the front those installed allow crude all over the carpet, LED reverse and loading lights.

Thank you, the information certainly helps!

I also can't seem to find anywhere that lists just the rear parking assist... See, my vehicle seems to have the rear parking assist but not the front parking assist. I've only seen this offered as a package called the "Front and Rear Parking Assist Package".
