I have a 04' 2500 HD with the duramax,allison, want to update 5th wheel trailer. New trailer is #1827 at the hitch and #10419 dry. Any issues with that???

Found a manual online at http://fifthwheelst.com/tow-rating.html. Looks like your truck is rated for 12000lbs with a 3000lb rating at the bed hitch for a fifth wheel. I attached the chart that is for 2004-2005 2500HD trucks. You should be good to go.

I find pulling a fifth wheel is easier and safer than a bumper pull. 8,000pounds, you probably wouldn't even know it's back there.

You should be good up to around 14-15k depending on how much weight you have in your truck. For example you have 5x200lbs dudes in the truck, and said truck weighs 7000lbs, so add the two, 8000lbs - 22,000, you should be good to tow around 14,000 lbs. this is all assuming your tires are rated for it, and you have the correct weight on the rear mounting point.
