Magnuson Supercharged 6.0 Swap into a 2007 GMC Sierra

I am newer to this forum and I was given a 6.0 engine out of a 2005 Hummer H2. It has a Magnuson MP112 supercharger that it came with as well. I am currently rebuilding it and am planning on putting it into my 2007 GMC sierra 4x4 (new body style). I am planning on backing it with a 4L80e transmission and am wondering what my best options are. Should I find an ECU, Wiring harness, and TCM from a truck or SUV that had a 6.0 in it, or would I be okay having my computer flashed? I know I will have to change my crossmember and get a wiring adapter, and I also know that mostly everything as far as accessory drives will swap over to the 6.0 block. I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

I can't help ya, because I'd slap a carburetor on that and call it a day :) .... but that looks like a FUN setup you got there! Should make some BIG numbers.

It will be very difficult. You are comparing gen 3 and gen 4. Sensors, harnesses, and computers are different and in the end it will cost and be more trouble than it is worth

Perfect carb candidate.

You all a crazy saying perfect carb candidate. I assume you're kidding.

OP I'm not sure with the TCM on the 80 swap, but the motor it's self should be an swap. Should be pretty plug and play assuming when you say new body style you mean gmt800.

I would ask questions over at performancetrucks.net they do a lot of these swaps.

Keep us updated on the build. You have potentially a beast of motor while keeping it very mild to drive. 6.0 love boost!

Yeah if it's a 2007 Classic no problem. But if it's a GMT 900 it will be virtually impossible.

And why ruin a perfectly good motor with a carburetor?? They run better and stronger fuel injected. I would understand if you were putting it into an old car. But on anything this side of 1995 the carb is useless.

Wont ruin a thing - just makes life simpler for me, that's all. To each his own.

Trying to rig up an carb on a computerized engine isn't simple. I understand what you mean though, and yeah to each his own. IMO my 2006 is easier to work on than a carbed vehicle.

I would do a search on that I believe an outfit like painless, could spec that for you. Ive seen it on one of those truck programs, like the saying goes do it right the first time.
