Identify wiring

Hello all, I'm new here and am the proud owner of a 1990 w/t 1500 which I started on fire a few months ago in a fit of stupidity (excessive starter fluid).

 

The fire ended up burning up the air filter, injectors, and all of the wires and vacuum hoses in close proximity. I've now managed to re-wire most everything but I have two wires specifically that I have no idea what they are for, they come out of the plastic conduit on the passengers side of the of the intake at the same spot that the injector wires emerge. The wires under question are pink with a black stripe and what appears to be brown (pictured below).

 

In addition to identifying these wires I also need some guidance on replacing vacuum hoses that run to the throttle body. GMpartsgiant no longer carries some of the hoses and fitting I need and as such I'm having a difficult time providing a good seal with makeshift hoses. Any tips on how I can do this? How well do these vacuum hoses actually need to be sealed?

 

 

Las question - tried to start the truck up today with the air intake assembly off, but it failed to start and instead sprayed large amounts of gas all around and below the injectors (gas pooled in motor crevices below). Suffice to say I don't completely know what I am doing, so is this a normal occurrence? Might it be caused by vacuum leaks, the air intake being off, or something else?

 

Truck ran fine before the fire, so hopefully a few tweaks can get it goin again. Thanks for reading!
