Diode trick work for the 99-02 to turn on fogs with lows?

Alright, so I know that you CANT do the diode trick for the 4 hi mod on the 99-02 trucks, they just require to splice into the yellow ground on the passenger side low beam and make a permanent ground and there you have it you have a 4 hi mod. What Im wondering is can I do the diode trick to turn the fogs on with the low beams? In theory it sounds like it would work cause the feed can go from low beam to fog and turn on then, but then if the lows stay on with the highs, the fogs will also stay on (my state law is no fogs on with high beams).

If it did work, I would still want to retain the function where I can turn on just my marker lamps and then also turn on my fog lamps, personally it looks cool to me, plus gives me enough light for going through tunnels and such

Diodes on pass power one way. so if it worked, when you turned on just fogs, the markers will come on like normal and no other lights. The fogs with highs and lows will cause legal issues. Basically if you want to stay legal, just pick one.

I did it by just jumping a wire from the headlamp power relay to the fog relay. Now I have fogs, dims, and brights on my 01! The only negative with this easy method is that when you click the key fob the fogs blink too. Ya I know it's kinda rigged up but hey it works!

I would do 6 high mod but my state limits it to 4 forward facing lights at any time plus another law is that fogs can not be on with the high beams. Kinda stupid but that's what it is. Not really a need for fogs if you have your highs on as well. Makes sense in my head

Sent while drinkin' a cold one...
