^^^I agree 100% that at 80% throttle a F/I application will not last very long running 14.1-14.7:1. I would guess (I'd have to look at my old logs) that anything more than 65% the EB swapped into a lot richer fuel trim.

I have 1600+ miles on her now and to be honest it does not feel like 460ft lbs. Don't get me wrong I like the truck but I really expected more power out of her. I had a fx4 crew ecoboost that felt more like a truck in the power since. It had amazing TQ it felt like 420 but so far my 6.2l does not feel like 460 or 420 for that matter. My ecoboost was a much heaver truck to. But I am getting better MPG in the 6.2 than I did the Eco. Right now my life time average for 1600 miles is 19.00. Anyone else feel the same way about their 6.2l ecotec3? You really have to push the gas peddle far to make it go. Please if anyone else feels this way post. If you think the new 6.2 feels like 460ft lbs please say so also.

I think what you're experiencing has to do with the throttle response and throttle programming. It's not linear at all like a cable would be, but almost exponential. I think it's a Fuel Economy thing. GM doesn't want you to accelerate quickly, but slowly so that you get better mileage.

It took me a while to get used to it coming from my 1996 Silverado. The new truck always felt so slow leaving a stop. But now I'm used to it and just step a little further on the gas as the norm. I just have to be really careful when I drive my wife's 2003 Yukon or any other vehicle. If I'm not paying attention, I'll step on the gas like in my truck and give everybody whiplash. I've done it several times and my wife yells at me because of it.

Agree with Yukon... it's a throttle control for sure at the low speeds. Regardless of that, mine definitely feels strong as hell hitting the go pedal! It feels almost as strong as my Harley F150(13.5's) or my TB SS(13.6's). I'm very happy. Especially since I can average 16+mpg stop light driving vs 12 from the Harley or 13-14 from my TB SS.

I just looked back at my lifetime mileage of 12.4 from 2005 Silverado SS AWD....so I'd say all you guys running the 6.2L should be really happy with 16+, haha.

The best hwy mileage I got from the TB SS was 18(usually 15-16). I got that on my last tank with my 14 and that was about 70/30 mix! It's crazy how much fuel economy has improved over the years.

drove an Ecoboost when shopping to make sure what I wanted. Driving at 40 mph and hit the gas and the 5.3L would go, but the ecoboost needed a couple seconds to spool. Someone earlier asked about a dyno sheet. I dyno'd mine completely stock with 4500 miles on it. I just had to know.
