09 Hybrid Yukon occasional issues: not wanting to start & gauges a

Starting in December of last year, my 2009 Yukon hybrid began having some strange issues with the electronics. On a very cold night, driving from Kansas to Texas, about halfway through the trip the gauges started acting strange. All of the dials went to zero and back up several times and every warning light cycle through on the display. It has started to happen more frequently and even worse it occasionally doesn't want to start in the mornings. When the gauges go crazy it also turns off the radio and other electronics, but the cruise control continues to work and it runs normally. I don't have to stop driving or in any other way deviate from my driving it just eventually stops acting strange and resumes normal operation.

When the truck won't start, nothing works. When you open the door, the interior light doesn't come on and when you turn the key the check engine light comes on but nothing else at first and it doesn't make a sound. If you give it some time it will start normally. This morning I turned the key off/on repeatedly and stepped on the brake pedal repeatedly and it started quicker than normal.

I am concerned because it occurred the last 3 mornings. I have a video of the gauges going crazy please ask any questions you have...

Thanks in advance!!

Load test battery. Check all battery cable connections and body grounds for (A) Clean (B) Tight/secure. Cables have been noted to go bad internally by several members on the site

+1 on txab's suggestion. The 12V battery's role is still very strong even in a hybrid with a 300V battery under the back seat.

Sounds like the truck is losing power then regaining it...after load testing the battery, the ignition switch would also be on my short list to check out.

Other than what I suggested, I'd take to a dealer since it is a hybrid and there are things on it I nothing about. As always have it scanned for codes with a scanner capable of reading ALL codes
