Do you think it would it be easy to add a sub to the setup that is provided with that setup?

If you could get the wiring schematic from kicker I can see where it wouldn't be hard to add a sub. The one good thing about the amp/crossover setup is the highs/mids sound much better up front. Don't get me wrong when some hard hitting bass tunes come on it does sound good.

I was very seriously thinking about getting that Kicker. But I ended up getting my audio shop to do a little custom set up.. basically the same idea, but with better stuff. Total costs of my set up was about $850 and it is worth every penny. This BOSE system really comes to life with a sub.

I got a JL 10TW3, custom fab box for double cab.. JL AMP, base control knob.

If I had the Bose,I would have went to a custom shop for a sub. But the base stereo is seriously lacking volume and clarity.

I'm thinking about selling the sub portion of my kicker setup. Just not enough bump for my taste. Love the high/mids up front.

So this amp not only powers the sub, but also is hooked up to the factory highs and mids? Is it 100% plug and play?

No,the front amp/crossover and a self powered sub have separate power leads. They can be separated if you already have the bose system.

I wish they offered just the front option. Sounds really clean. So I could add my own sub.

Trying to decide if I wanna buy this kicker upgrade. I found it for $599 at a dealer, trying to get rid of the last few they have...knocking my head on it lol.

Just wondering if anyone bought just the sub enclosure setup and if they still have their directions lying around. I need to know which colored wires to slice into behind the front left kicker panel. Thanks

I believe Crutchfield has a how-to video that you can use for the install. The sub by itself is only like 527.00 linked to price. The video link from Crutchfield is LINK. I still cant decide if I want to pay the $850.00 for the full upgrade.

You dont splice into any part of the sound system with this upgrade it is 100% plug and play... other than hooking up the power wires.

Dude, I LOVE my Kicker upgrade. especially at 599 thats a steal. just make sure it also comes with the amp and processor for the highs or thats not a deal. if its just the sub I wouldnt have been happy with it.
