Dealer just called to say GMC has slated my 2014 Sierra AT SLT CC 6.2 Iridium to be built the week of June 23. Glad to hear that we now have a build date.

This is going to be 1 bad ass truck.

It looks like you're going deluxe (SLT) I just took delivery of my factory order Silverado Crew 6.2

with the Driver Alert Package - $ 845. A friend of mine who just got a Denali told me he didn't want

the Driver Alert Package, but I don't think he knew what all it does. Here's GMC's description:

This package includes safety-alert technologies designed to help the driver prevent a collision:

◾Lane Departure Warning alerts the driver when the truck is moving out of its lane without activating a turn signal

◾Forward Collision Alert warns the driver when the truck is rapidly approaching another vehicle in front

◾Safety Alert Seat vibrates the driver's seat cushion to alert the driver when the truck is moving out of its lane without activating a turn signal or when the truck is rapidly approaching another vehicle in front

◾ Front and Rear Park Assist help the driver when parking to gauge the distance to a stationary object

◾This package requires heated and cooled driver and front passenger seating, front bucket seats and perforated leather-appointed seat trim on Crew Cab and Double Cab models

◾Requires available manual tilt and telescoping steering column

In addition it vibrates the seat when backing into something and the system can switched off. It's obviously one of those items that can't be added later. I recommend it, but of course it's up to you.

Another item, $75, is the interior drivers assist handle. it's listed as a dealer installed option but I got mine into my order to avoid that. Cheap upgrade, looks good, I use mine every time I get in the truck.

With a 6-23 build week you can probably add options if you want to. I added the drivers assist handle and it cost me a two week delay but I'm glad I did it.

That driver assist handle is cool. Dealer installed for $50.

Looks like you got the same options I did, hopefully the sliding rear window and sunroof won't hold mine up too much. I've been calling GM every other day to check on the status and make a pest out of myself :D
