Spark with no spark

So the wife and I both have 2014 chevy's, one we bought in December one in Feburary. Together they have been in the shop almost 4 months for misc warranty issues.

So last week the dealer gives her a brand new Spark as a loaner. Driving down the road yesterday the car lost all of its power in rush hour traffic. She barely got it off the road and almost got hit before she parked. Very dangerous scenario.

No electrical power at all, when the wrecker arrived he couldn't get it in gear and had to drag it on his truck with the wheels locked.

I was a life long GM person, except for one jeep it is all I have owned for 38 years. I have lost faith in Chevrolet and GM.

What do you say to a post like this?

Document the truck issues, file a lemon case with BBB, get your money back, and go buy a different brand.

Easier said than done, I have filed for the BBB resolution on one truck. We have had it 4 months and been in the shop 2 1/2 months. I sent the certified letter demanding a final attempt at a fix, this visit to the dealer is in response to that letter. I would have rather seen GM step up and honor their warranty.

Of course it's easier said than done. It takes time and it's a pain. I did it with a 98 2500 Silverado. It was between me and Chevrolet, not the dealership. It took 3 attempts at repairing an issue before BBB would make a ruling. I filed the case after the third attempt. Chevrolet participated by telephone. I came to the meeting with all repair invoices as well as a typed timeline of all repair attempts and phone conversations with details of the phone conversations with Chevrolet customer service. The Chevrolet rep was not prepared and had no background on my case. They requested another attempt to fix the issue. Although I didn't need to, I agreed to let them try because they said they'd get their engineering involved to inspect and recommend the proper repair action. They also agreed to extend the driveline warranty. All with the BBB arbitrator present. They followed thru with none of the commitment. I refiled the complaint. The arbitrator ruled for Chevrolet to buy back the vehicle at full purchase costs, including all tax and license fees. Document all phone contacts as well as repair attempts of course.
