Blind Spot Monitoring

I have a Silverado loaded to the gills, but no blind spot monitoring system to go along with the lane departure warning and parking assist.

Is this even an option or a reliable after market system available??

If your rear view and side mirrors are properly adjusted, there are no blind spots.

sounds like the only option you didn't get. Personally its not worth the cost of these options when gm packages them together

Don't think the trucks offer BSM. Could be wrong though as I've never paid attention to the nanny stuff that's offered.

It's really lame that they don't offer a Blind spot system. I think it's a much more valuable feature than the vibrating seat or the crash warning that can't apply the brakes. The driver assistance package is an epic fail IMHO. At first I wondered if I would be bummed my truck did not have it, but then after reading that the crash warning can't apply the brakes (like many other automakers do) and there's no blind spot warning, I realized I was not missing anything.
