Power steering oil cooler 2006 Sierra

Haven't posted in a while... I have a 2006 Sierra 4x4 with 5.3. It has the small power steering oil cooler mounted in front of the left side of the rad.

 

I'd like to replace it, but can't seem to find anything in a web search. Does anyone have an idea where I can source one of these outside of A GM dealer?

If you're talking about the the 2 tube fin type cooler on the right hand side of the pic, that's the power steering cooler. If you have an engine oil cooler it runs through the radiator tank. The lines connect to the block right above the oil filter

Yes, my mistake, the PS cooler. Mine is getting pretty rusty & I want to replace it.

I found that it is a good idea to spray some WD 40 periodically on the fins of this cooler as they are poorly painted formt he factory and will quickly rust (at leas there in coastal Florida). Some coolers have aluminum fins, some have steel fins which rust.

When did the pwr steering fluid cooler come out on the gm trucks? I dont think my 02 has one?

Well mine's leaking on my '03 (of course).

Has anyone installed one of these after market kits?

None of the vendors offer anything on the "installation kit" particulars.

Hydroboost trucks have them..Im sure others too
