Replacing 40/20/40 console with full console in 2014 LT 1500

My dealer is telling me that I cannot replace the middle section of the front seat/console from my 2014 LT with the full console without changing seats and major expenses. Can this be done without replacing the seats, etc? Thanks!

This likely will not be helpful, but, I do know that the seats in the 2010-2013 are the same regardless of console or centre seat. Why not go look at a console equipped 2014 and compare the outside seats to your truck? On the earlier models, the outside seats are completely individual seats regardless of model. You can remove the centre seat, and not put anything back there, and the seats would still appear to be complete bucket seats. No connection at all to the centre seat, as well as no missing upholstery on either outboard seats.
