Getting A 2014 Silverado, Question About Floor Covering

Traded in my 2003 Sierra, and getting a 2014 Silverado WT (work truck), which has the rubber floor cover mat instead of carpeting. Don't mind keeping the rubber floor covering, but upon looking at the better floor mats (Husky, Weather Tech), the Husky mats have the little spikes on the backside, which would ruin the rubber covering, and the Weather Tech mats specific say they are not for use in trucks with "vinyl flooring". Want to buy some high-quality mats to protect the vehicle, but would rather not have to put carpeting in the place of the rubber floor covering.

Not really understanding your post but it seems that you are asking which mats to buy?

I would go with the Husky liners. I have WeatherTech in both my Silverado's and Husky in my Cruze. The Husky liners stay in place, WeatherTech tend to slip and slide around, even on the carpet floor so they would give you trouble moving with vinyl. Husky is the way to go with that style floor and they won't cause any damage you'll be fine.

If I had to do it over, I would not get the WeatherTech liners again. I don't like how they slide around. My wife actually got hurt stepping up into my truck due to the WeatherTech liners moving around. If they were not so damn expensive, I would have trashed them that say. I would go with the Husky "weather beater" floor liners along with the center hump (transmission) liner. They all stay in place and work well.

The one-piece weathertec that covers the floor from side to side doesn't slip at all. But mine is on carpeting, so don't know how it would be on the rubber floor. I didn't go with weathertech in the front - I kept the original rubber mats, which I think are great. Can't imagine anything better.
