Ordered a set of Toyo Open Country AT2's

After 53,000, my stock Bridgestones are finally on their last leg... I figured I would replace them before this winter anyhow. TreadDepot had free shipping on them again, so I bit the bullet and bought them....

They are supposed to be delivered tomorrow. Talk about fast shipping.. I just place the order yesterday morning. I will be sure to post some pictures after I get them put on next week.

I got the 275/65R18 in the 6 ply. I liked those for the added tread depth and the extra capacity when towing. Can't wait to get them mounted and test them out....

Going to put the white letters out.. I like the look on my stock tires, and I would prefer to have them out....

Attached is a pic I have of the tread.... These cost $225 each, and free shipping... So $900 out the door. Getting them put on tomorrow, so I will try to post some pics over the weekend...

I am already scraping the antenna in my garage, and did not not want to go any taller. And you are right, the 285 only comes in 10 ply. Plus it is another 8 pounds heavier, so it would take more of a hit on mileage...

When you get down to it, the 285 is only 1/2" wider and 1/2" taller. I was more interested in getting the 6 ply tires than in getting the bigger size. Not to mention the $150 more for the set...

Good call on the white letters. I'm a fan as well. Unfortunately, the sizes I'm looking at, no white letters available. Is it your radio antennae hitting? Go with a stubby.

Those are good looking tires! Sometimes, I wish I would have went with those, instead of my Coopers. I'm looking forward to seeing them on the truck!

Got the new tires installed on Friday. Here are a few pictures after I got it washed up today... Very happy with the look and ride.

I would say the new Toyo's are quieter than the stock Bridgestones. No difference in road noise. 3 of the new tires needed no weight to balance, and one of them needed .5 oz.

I have some more pictures if anyone wants something specific.

Very nice! I have basically the same truck in the same color with same lift and am trying to decide on tires. The open country a/t's are high on my list, in the same size that you went with. One of my concerns is that they are heavier than most tires in that size - do you feel any change in acceleration or other performance with the slighter larger and heavier tire? What about MPG's??
