aux input help please

I have a 03 Silverado with a 6 disc changer/RDS/and the Bose system I do not have satlite/xm I do have the band and cd/aux buttons ... I have purchased and installed an aai-gm12 so I would have aux connections to play my mp3 but I can not get it to work I have hit every button on this damn thing and can not get it to read/ play my mp3 music is the aai-12 compatible with my head unit??? Please help

Taken directly from the Pac-Audio website: Can only be used in vehicles equipped with a factory slave unit (external CD player, XM tuner or external single CD player). If the vehicle is not equipped with a factory slave unit then you must use the ISGM535.

 

Since you don't have an EXTERNAL CD changer/player or XM, you'll have to use the ISGM535.
