Actually it works only with multiples of 9 which any choice you make turns out to be. Just look at 9,18,27,36 etc. before you pick your numbers and thats what the symbol will be.

 

Clever though. Fooled me the first time. Props given to the creator lol.

Notice how whichever icon pops up is the same one next to the number 0.  When you "click here to try again" and the table flashes, the icons change around...  It fooled me my first time though.
