02suburbanZ71 Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 When im idling i get a vibration that you can feel in the seats and hear. It occurs when the vehicle is in park, neutral, reverse, or drive at idle speed so from 550-1000 rpms. Could it be motor mount? Not to sure what to check
Doug_Scott Posted September 19, 2014 Posted September 19, 2014 Generally if the vibration does not change between drive and reverse, it will not likely be a motor mount. Vibration from motor mounts are usually due to the engine "leaning" to one side far enough that something from the drivetrain is touching part of the body or chassis. Changing to the other gear makes the engine not lean in that direction anymore, so it will not likely be touching anything. Look for something touching the body or chassis around the engine/trans area. This assumes that the vibration you are feeling is actually a harmonics/resonance issue as opposed to engine roughness at idle.

When i am experiencing this my engine seems to vibrate/shake a little
