I have post this question before and I'm pretty sure that it is the valve seals that needs replaced, I am at home on short term disability for another 6 weeks, my question is my truck doesn't smoke as much as it did when driving to work daily what can be the worst that can happen if I let this going to long?

It was likely either valve seals or valve guides in the other thread. If you are only getting a puff of smoke on start up, the only real issue that may occur is fouled spark plug on the cylinders with bad guides or seals.

If you are not getting a CEL for excessive misfires on cyl x don't worry about it for now. Once the plug gets oil fouled, you will get a CEL.

Thanks for the help that's what I thinking but was want a second opinion and i'm not getting a CEL just burning some oil, I am planning on repair maybe closer to when I going back to work.
