Anyone use these?

Has anyone on their sle model sierra used the far left and right switches for lights or anything? Or is it not possible. I called gm today to see if they had any functional ones for it and they told me no.

I think on higher trims they are used for buttons. Or maybe they just put more rectangular ones in between. I know the z71 I test drove had three switches there but I can't remember exactly what.

My LTZ has power brake/gas pedal adjust, StabiliTrak, Cargo Lamp, Park Assist and Lane Departure buttons there.

There is also a downhill assist switch if you have the All Terrain package

I was trying to see if anyone has turned the dummy buttons into functional ones

I doubt it, those buttons are more than likely controlled thru the BCM. My guess is they are a signal switch, you push the switch and the BCM sees the signal and makes the change.
