Passenger side A-pillar trim removal

Can anyone correct me if I am wrong - I didn't want to pull too hard on the trim without knowing for sure.

I am trying to route a wire for my dash cam along the headliner at the top of the windshield, and down into the passenger side fuse box. I took out the two bolts holding on the handle, but could not get the trim to release. It is kind of stuck in place at the bottom due to the speaker in the dash so I assume it is the top part that should come out first. Am I right to assume there are trim clip(s) holding this in? Anyone know approximate locations or just confirm this is the case?

Also, is there an air bag behind the passenger side A pillar? I think my Acadia had Air Bag logos wherever they were, but theres nothing on the trim in the Sierra indicating if I should be worried about somehow setting it off.

Thanks.

Don't know about the passenger side, but I pulled the driver's side off and replaced it with a grab handle. Just worked my fingers between the edge of the trip and the headliner and pulled. There were some clips holding it in place....

Hi Folks - My first post! New Sierra owners - I'm trying to do the same, remove stock A-pillar and replace with Handle. There is a clip attached w/ plastic - How did you remove it? I have yanked and tugged but didn't want to use full force until I was certain of what I should be doing? Any insight here? Much Appreciated.

Just pull on it, the fuse panel cover was way harder to remove and nothing broke. I replaced my drivers side with the grab handle one while routing my dash cam wires.
