Lower Billet install with Parking Sensors

Instructions for installing the Carriage Works lower billet on a 2015 HD with parking sensors. If you don't have parking sensors, ignore this. If you rather have an official solution from Carriage Works, then wait a bit (I've been emailing them on this issue).

 

You need a set of bolts (I used stainless steel 1/4" which is a little tight, but works) and bent the provided brackets a little.

 

The install point is the upper hole behind the parking sensors, see below picture:

 

 

If you try to mount the grille at this point this happens (can't get the second screw in).

 

 

Not to worry, a little bending to lengthen them out (picture with before and after, note the after is just a little longer, about 1/4"):

 

 

Now possible to mount the grill (the cardboard below is to provide a gap):

 

 

Now with the cardboard removed...

That looks better! I wondered how long it would be before someone dealt with this issue! Can't believe they (GM) would leave this gapping hole with a cooler right there to get the hell beat out of it!
