I'M BRAND NEW HERE AND LOOKING FOR SOME INFO. I OWN A 2010 GMC HD2500 AND AM IN THE MARKET FOR THE NEW CANYON TO PARK NEXT TO IT IN THE BARN. THE ONLY MODELS AVAILABLE HERE IN MICHIGAN ARE THE FULLY LOADED 4X4 IN THE 38-40 GRAND RANGE. I'M LOOKING FOR A 4CYL CREW CAB BASE MODEL TO LOOK AT BEFORE I ORDER ONE. ARE THERE ANY DEALERS ANYWHERE IN THE COUNTRY THAT ARE GETTING THESE LOW PRICED CANYONS IN? I'M MOSTLY INTERESTED IN THE INTERIOR VIEWS OF THESE BASE TRUCKS . ALL THE ONLINE PICTURES AND DEALER BROCHURES SHOW ONLY THE SLE AND SLT. ANY INFO WILL BE APPRECIATED.

If your dealer does not have what you want, ask them to try to locate it. But given that production just started, GM is likely churning out the volume sellers right now, not the base trims you're looking at. No idea on where to find base model pics, I haven't seen any from any of the press events.

If im not mistaken you can only get the Canyon in the SLT Crew Cab form for the first run. I think the other package and configuration levels will be coming out in the following months.

 

I think all of the colorados are available, and there interior will be exactly the same.

I THINK YOU GUYS HAVE MORE INFO THAN THE DEALER I WENT TO. THEY SAID I CAN ORDER ONE BUT CANNOT GIVE ME A DELIVERY DATE. I'LL LOOK AT A COLORADO IF I CAN FIND ONE IN BASE TRIM. I THINK I AM THE ONLY GUY LEFT WHO DOESNT WANT LEATHER AND HEATED SEATS. MY HD2500 IS A WT AND I WOULDNT HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY. THANKS FOR THE HELP

Tomorrow I take the plunge. I called my dealer and I'm going to order a 2015 gmc canyon. It will be white like my HD2500. I'm ordering the 2wd 4cyl crew cab short box base package, with the only option being the convenience package - rear window defroster, keyless entry ,cruise control,ez-lift tailgate).I'll give you the price tomorrow after I order it. Also we'll see if he gives me a delivery date.

Okay, I put an order in today for a GMC Canyon. Base Canyon, 2wd,4 cyl,crew cab short box, one option convience pkg. Total with tax,$26,000.00. That's with my gm retiree discount. With my discount dealer would throw in no freebees. He'll let me know in two weeks on a delivery date. I'll keep everyone posted as details emerge.

Time for an update. It has been almost a month since I put in my order. My dealer still cannot give me a build date. I have found various vehicles around the country that match what I am looking for. My aggravation level is escalating. I want to buy this truck and they will not build it for me. Has anyone out there ordered a 2015 GMC Canyon and received it? Luckily for me gas prices are down, because I'm forced to drive my 2010 HD2500 everyday and she loves to stop at the gas station. The dealer has about one more week to get me some info or I'm going to cancel my order and start again at a larger dealership.
