Backspacing question.... (confirmation requested)

Alright, It's early and my mind is off. Looking for some confirmation here. A wheel/tire setup I know works (emailed BDS about it):

2" BDS Level

20x9 with 5.75" backspacing (+19 offset I believe)

35x12.50 tires (34.7x12.5 actual)

Works on 2014 Silverado (contact with front bumper plastic air dam and fender liner only) ( "confirmed" via email)

My theoretical setup:

1" front level spacer (2" total lift)

Stock Z71 wheels (new wheels someday maybe)

18x8.5 +31 offset (5.97" backspace)

35x12.50 (34.5x12.5 actual)(width may be more off due to 8.5 wide rim)

So, to make these setups more "equal", would a .25" wheel spacer push my wheels out to a backspace of 5.72"? There is also a smidgen of difference in tire size, so In theory I would have a .1" clearance advantage as well.

At 0400 this make sense anyways. :dunno:

Thanks in advance.

It's going to be close and should stop some of the rubbing on the suspension, but I would be surprised if that fits at all. It seems like I've seen guys rubbing 33s on here.

I have seen a few people on the Web that have pulled it off with little information on rub though, but in the emails with bds, they said it only contacted the air dam and liner. They said both were trimmed to clear. I asked about full lock contact and he said none. Seems they found the perfect setup or the guy emailing doesn't know. I'm going to email again and ask for pics if they can. *fingers crossed*

Never trust suspension companies when it comes to this. You couldn't run a 33x12.50 on a gmt-900 with a 2" level without some cutting. I'm fairly certain the same will apply with 35s and the newer trucks.

I think it's too good to be true as well. Some people on other forums are all over the place on reports. I've got some time still for research though. Wonder if an additional 1.5 body lift would provide the clearance.
