Skeeter McSkeet Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 I've heard the exact same thing on the passenger side. Bought the truck last Saturday brand new with 1 mile on it. Its completely stock as well. I haven't even been off the pavement yet and heard this sound at least twice now; that's why I started searching because I knew I couldn't have ran over a bunch of rocks where I have traveled so far. I actually heard it this morning on my way to work, seems as if I was accelerating as well, it was on the highway pulling off from a red light. Curious as to what it could be for sure!! Mines a 2015 SLT Z71 with the 5.3 in it and 20's if that helps to try and narrow anything down in comparison to your all's trucks. Also, last night I was taking a sharp turn to the left, I was coming up hill and turning onto a road with a downhill grade. Felt a strange thing in the steering wheel as well, kind of reminded me of sliding on ice, and heard a very muted sound. I had a recall on a previous truck from another company that dealt with an issue very similar to this. It was Something with the traction control system and making sharp turns. Clocked92 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 I've been trying to pinpoint this sound since I found this thread a little while ago. Most of the time when I hear it, it is after I've been driving on some gravel. In Canada they sand the heck out of the streets once it gets icy, I really started hearing the sound after that so I'm guessing that I am just picking up more rocks in my tires. The one day I heard the sound I had just got off a gravel road and onto the highway, I heard it about 3 times within about a minute of getting on the highway and it was definitely rocks being kicked up. I could tell because once I got going faster, the rocks didn't have one impact sound, they seemed to bounce around a little bit.
