So let's say I go from 275/55-20 to a 17 or 18 inch wheel. Increase in fuel efficiency because of less rotational mass? Is there anything special to setting the PCM with the new tire size? Besides a scan tool with functionality to do so.

Results will be negligible. And if you use the stock soze programming is not needed. So a 265/70R17 or 265/65R18

I gained a bit of fuel mileage by going from the 285's to the 245's. Also helped my turning radius significantly.

 

 

 

For a daily driver, i'd definitely consider going smaller. Better gas mileage and cheaper intiial cost.
