Price Paid for 2015 Denali

I thought I'd start this topic since the rather cluttered other thread, Price Paid, is kind of all over the place with various different models, so this could be more specific to the 2015 Sierra Denali.

So I just got my OTD price of $57k for crew cab, short box.

The breakdown...

$54,272 Costco GM Supplier pricing minus $2250 in rebates/credits. Add $5k in tax and license Not sure how this compares to what everyone else is paying for a 2015 6.2 8 speed.

Here's my options...white diamond tricoat

Heated and cooled seats

Trailer brake

4x4

Sunroof

3.23 diff

Driver alert pkg

Mag Ride

I got $2250 in rebates (1750 from gm and $500 Ca Farm Bureau credit)

I'll also be getting a $600 Costco cash card in the mail which is in addition to everything else.

Please feel free to contribute. I hope this helps others purchasing a Denali. Who knows, I may be getting the unlubed shaft!

Try Laura GMC near St. Louis. Last time I checked they had over 50 new Denali's in stock. Take at least 9k off sticker price.

So this is the 6.2 I take it?

My dealer said GM doesn't like building the 6.2 bc it costs them more money bc it's a gas guzzler and the gov taxes them more. Correct me if I'm wrong, I may have heard that incorrectly. Their profit is less on these trucks than it is with the "bread and butter" SLT and that's why they have more wiggle room when it comes to negotiating.

My dealer told me straight up what he's making with hold-back...still seems like a decent profit.

yes that is for the 6.2, right off the gm supplier website. The first quote is with the same options you listed, the second just adds the rear dvd player.

I have "heard" that the problem with the 6.2 is that they are going into the escalades and that is why they are behind. I don't see how the 1-2mpg difference makes them a "gas guzzler"?

I was told the costco/credit union price is was it is, so regardless of what the bread and butter is the supplier price should be a listed. I only know cause I have been researching and shopping around. That is why I was curious that your costco price listed was more, even with less options

Pretty accurate. Also in addition to a gas guzzler tax the entire lineup combined with entire fleet MPG has to be in a certain area. If they sell more gas guzzlers they have to balance that out with the small cars - demand or no demand for the latter.

Also they know the market - if you want/need a 6.2 they figure a majority of buyers are already prepared to spend extra $ because you either have something already you want to pull, or know you'll pay to play.

Odd then that we are $1300 apart in pricing if we are comparing "apples for apples".

What state are you in Hurricanoday?

I'd get 3 or 4 different quotes. Granted mine is a 14 so I'm sure the price is different as there are some new options. The dealer I ORDERED mine from beat everyone else on price by $2500. Not all dealers are created equal. COSTCO (supplier) pricing, Farm Bureau discount ($500) and Incentives ($1750) here as well and my OTD price was around $50K. Shop around and you'll save some money.

I'm under the impression that since I placed the order through a specific dealer, that I'm obligated to purchase from them. True or false?

I got on Truecar and plugged in all options and the price was only a couple hundred difference from the price I was quoted.

Did you give them a deposit?

thats it, im buyin my next truck in the states.

i didnt pay even close to sticker, but my 14 SLE is $49,500 in Canada. a SLT would have been $59k and i didnt even try pricing out the Denali.

I am in WA and I think I'm gonna order a truck from 2 different dealers, They are not requiring deposits and they can't get the trucks up here anyways so they would just sell it
