cooling problem

ok i have a 1997 k1500 with the 5,7 vortec and i replaced the t-stat in it and now only in mud it over heats it never did before otherwise it cools just fine at idle and going down the road does anyone have an idea of why its doing this..... i am running 35inch bfg alltrain tires

Are you goosing it a lot while mudding?

Try washing out the fins on your radiator and condenser and see if that helps.

Also check fan clutch for proper operation

If it does only does it in mud you should pressure wash the complete underside of the engine and front end, also the radiator area
