Thanks! I was actually checking them out the other day because I found out the fenders they used were by FiberWerx. However I missed that they offered a bumper for our trucks. I'm going to have check that one out.

Edit: $1599 for that bumper?!?! Maybe I did see it before and erase it from memory lol.

They are by no means cheap but much like just about ever other bumper out there they are expensive.

Personally I'd gladly pay you for your time/effort if you'd be willing/ it'd save money compared to the 400 dollar charge! lol

Just guessing, but you should be able to ship it on Greyhound for $75. I have shipped several UTV tops and bumpers for $65-$75.

Damn, from $650 to $1150 just to colormatch it?! Paint or powdercoated? Looks like I may be painting this myself when I get mine.

Just wanted to give you guys an update. I would be more than willing to help some fellow members here get the bumper and avoid the $400 shipping costs. But for me to do this without losing money I would have to charge you guys $200 to ship it. Basically $140-150 for shipping and $50 for gas money (the drive is 70 miles each way, plus another 15 each way to drop it off at my local grey hound). The only thing though is the bumper has to weigh less than 100lbs and be smaller than 82" L x 42" W x 30" H. With the weight the bumper does come with hardware and other accessories so those items can be shipped separately and would probably raise shipping maybe $20. Also, if you live in surround state I would be willing to meet up on a weekend and drop the bumper off to you as well. But I would just ask that you pay for my gas and a BigMac from McDonalds lol. So for anyone who interested just let me know and we can go from there. Also, if someone can call SCA and get the dimensions and weight of the bumper that would be great too.

Called and spoke with Jeff-

Sierra bumper- 80 width x14 height. Didn't give me depth. Weight he Estimated at 100-120. The bumper extends 3/4 of an inch past the body of the truck on each side. There are 5 left in stock.

Silverado- none left in stock, likely not being built. dammt.

Are they not building anymore once they are out of stock?! [emoji15][emoji15]

Thanks for getting the dimensions. When I have spoken with Drew via email he made it sound like the Silverado bumpers will be built to order. Try giving him an email. [email protected]

Idk if it's been mentioned while I was away for quite some time and haven't caught up in all the threads yet, but has anyone else noticed there's no real access holes to get to winch? Unless you are supposed to reach for it through the tow hook openings. Am I missing anything or is this the way you have to do it?

It just hit me while I was looking at some pics on my phone of all the different bumpers I'm considering. Each other one has a dedicate hole (or 2) to be able to reach the winch with ease.

I have noticed that as well but the winch its designed for is the 9 series which come with wireless remotes. Now in the case of a failure or somethinf it may be a pain. Also i spoke with them today and they have 5 silverado bumpers left @ the $650 price.

Silly question, but does this mean that once they sell what they have on hand currently, then the price will go back up once again to $1750? Or will it continue to remain at $650. I'm going to email my regional rep in the AM but wanted to see if you knew since I likely won't get a response till Monday.

I perosnally don't plan to get a $2k winch tho, personally plan on getting a good ole Tuff Stuff winch from eBay haha. It has a wireless remote as well but when you have to stretch the rope all the way out it's nicer to undo the clutch on it so you can walk it out without having to hold the unwind button down. Only reason why I was hoping for some access points.

To answer your first question, yes. Once they run out of inventory on these bumpers the price will go back to $1750. Second, I am in the boat as you. I honestly don't even need a winch. All a winch would do is give me confidence in making bad off road decisions lol. But they do make a winch cover for $170 or someone local could make one as well.

Well hell.... Looks like I may have to get a bumper now and not later. Really like this one but not for $1750. Thanks for the info man!

I sure hope you mean winch plate [emoji6] lol. But yea, same boat again, do I really need one? No. But I am starting to bring my truck camping more and the extra peace of mind to have one is nice. Plus I've had friends call me needing help cause they get stuck doing stupid stuff and sometimes I'll get there and say someone else needs to come cause they went through something that there's no way I'll put my truck through lol.

Well I was up in the Birmingham, Al area this afternoom so I stopped by Trussville. I wasn't able to see any Silverado's with the bumper installed but did see a white GMC and it looked fantastic. Also saw some nee 2016's that were lifted and looked great too.

The red one is what I am slightly confused about. I am under impression that only White or Black were available with a "Sports Appearance Package" where the both rear and front bumpers are paint matched. Is it safe to assume that this red one is a custom paint match??

Just called them and spoke with Michael. These bumpers are for 1500s only, no 2500 in the near future. They are working on it. ETA around 2 months...

So that excludes me...for the time being.

Just to clarify again. Silverado bumper is for a 1500 series only.

A couple of months till the 2500 bumper. Hope for the $650 as well... :ninja:

I would guess its custom since they are a customizer. They may have just vinyl wrapped it as I've seen them do that on previous generation trucks. Ididn't look at the rear but that truck looked great in person.

So i FINALLY received my bumper yesterday evening after ~ three weeks of wait time. I didn't get any pictures of it last night since i was busy, but ill get some taken today after work.

Question:

What should i do with the parking assist holes?

I don't have park assist on my truck and I thought that the bumper would come with some form of hole plugs installed, but it didn't. I haven't opened all of the hardware packages up yet so they may be included in there, but i doubt it. What are your thoughts on the the idea of adding LED's to them such as these (http://www.oznium.com/led-bolt)? I was thinking that maybe i would tie the LED's on the outside holes (would get amber color LED's), next to the fog light housing, into my headlight blinkers as a secondary blinker light. The two center LED's ( standard white LED's?) next to the light bar cutout could be tied into a standard power source and would be constantly on.

I measured the holes last night and they measured roughly 1 1/8". The largest bolt style LED that i can find is something like 16mm in diameter, so i would have to make some form of washer/plate for both sides of the bumper hole.

Thoughts?
