Wait they reduced the price to 650$ but are charging 400$ to ship it? Was about to jump on it for christmas but if it's 400$ shipping i'm not worrying with it. The other thing is i've planned on a grille guard so idk. Still love the aesthetic appeal of the bumper especially with the lights but if you hit anything that light bar is done.

It's 400$ to ship it to mississippi, they're located in Bama. Complete rubbish.

$650?!?!?! What?! Thats nothing for a bumper with all this stuff! Shit at $400 for shipping its still worth it honestly. I am just curious if you do it without a skid plate, can you? I plan to lift my truck to a 7-9" mcgaughy when my current tires wear out

This bumper definitely wasn't worth $1750, but definitely worth $1k

where'd you get the shipping quote?

That is the only thing I don't really like about this bumper, if you hit something you don't have much protecting the body. Thats the biggest thing that the Iron Cross bumper has over everyone else. Its so big that it would take a lot to hit the front end (past the bumper I mean)

You have to fill the quote out to add it to cart then you can see shipping. Also i think you can choose no skid plat if need be.

I still love the bumper, it looks great really brings a great look to the sierra but 400$ to ship is just a round about way of saying they're charging 1000$. Of which i agree is fine, but when they miss advertise it as 650$ it's a little irritating. I was going to jump on it at that price. Think i'll probably stick with a Grille guard. The one negative about the bumper is if you hit something it's in all likely hood that light bar will be screwed.

Anywho building a custom rifle at the moment, after that the truck will get all the attention.

Guess I'm lucky since SCA is just a couple miles away from me.

Edit: I just sent an email asking a few questions in regards to how the skid plate works and if its required. A concern for me since i already have a lift and heavy duty skid plates. Also asked what all comes with the bumper and if I could pick it up from their store.

Sure thing! Drew over SCA replied to my message earlier this morning and below is what he said. I'm hoping to go and check out the bumper sometime this weekend if possible. Waiting on another response from Drew to see if that's an option.

"Hey Chris!

You have the option of choosing the correct skid plate for your truck if you order online. We have a skid plate specifically designed for 6” lifted trucks. The skid plate is designed to attach where your new lower control arm bolts to the crossmember. The bumper comes with the skid plate and the hardware pack. All light mounts are welded onto the bumper itself for ease of light installation. Since you are looking to pick this up, it would be easier for me to just have a custom invoice sent to you specifying customer pick-up, instead of trying to go through the online store. Let me know if you want to move forward, and I’ll get this handled for you!"
So despite the website saying "Unavailable" when you select the skid plate for 6" lifts, it sounds like they can still fulfill the order you may just need to call them.

Just called them and spoke with Michael. These bumpers are for 1500s only, no 2500 in the near future. They are working on it. ETA around 2 months...

So that excludes me...for the time being.

So if they are close to you that means you can pick a bunch up and ship them to all of us for much cheaper than $400 right?? Hahaha

Lol in theory I could and I would as my company gets heavy discounts on UPS freight. The only problem though is with the length of the bumper and the size of a standard pallet (48"x40"). Because of that length I bet they either use two pallets which doubles your cost. Or they build a custom pallet but then have extra man hours in it decides the usual shipping preparation time. This I think thats why they are charging $400. With that being said if someone was serious about the bumper. I bet it could be shipped via Grey hound (yes the bus company) relatively cheap.

Well I was up in the Birmingham, Al area this afternoom so I stopped by Trussville. I wasn't able to see any Silverado's with the bumper installed but did see a white GMC and it looked fantastic. Also saw some nee 2016's that were lifted and looked great too.

Seems like it'd be worth it to take a roadtrip over there for the bumper.

I'd agree, the price is great. Total cost is probably around $1200 to 1500 once you get lights and tax.
