Ordered 2015 Sierra Denali

apparently Denalis have an extra set of QA that they go through. (unless the dealer is full of it) So my truck went to shipped to waiting to be shipping (in QA) to finally shipped again on the 14th. 4000 to 4200 to 4000 and now finally 4200 again.

GM chat told me it is on the ship from mexico to WA State, so hopefully I will get it in the next week or so

So if there is any extra QA, it doesn't take very long. Mine arrived 43 days after ordering it, which 8 days of it being on rail to San Antonio, and then 2 days from San Antonio to Austin.

Wow - it's been 4 weeks since it was built and it still isn't at the dealership? You must be going nuts!

Interestingly, SLT crew cabs with VINs ending in 264xxx and up have been at stores since at least last week. If they are assembled in numeric sequence, perhaps Denalis do go through some extra quality assurance.

For comparison, my Honda Odyssey was built on 8/5/10 in Alabama and I took delivery a mere 9 days later on 8/14/10 - and that was after a dealer trade!

I'm not sure they meant "extra QA" but it did go from shipped to waiting to be shipped to shipped again. So I believe it was built, shipped somewhere (could be for inspection) and then finally shipped again. Which probably doesn't make sense, esp since he said they do it in Detriot and the truck is going from mexico on a ship. (according to gm chat) Who knows though

Ordered it back in Dec and was built in Jan. GM def gets a big fat 0 for me on the order tracking process. As Charles Barkley would say turrable, just a terrible terrible experience. Esp for someone like me, who's credit isn't great and trying to plan to have the financing ready along with the down payment on the 50-60k truck who nobody has any idea when it will be here.

Wow hurrocanoday, I ordered almost the exact truck, on Jan 19th. I've been at 4000 for a week. I hoped I was getting close until I read this. Man I hope it doesn't sit around till March. Good luck to us both!

What options did you get an if you don't mind sharing what did you get it for? what rebates?

I got the Denali black on black like you, 6.2 4X4 but i ordered a crew cab standard bed. The only option I didn't get was the blue ray drop down. Had one on my 08 Sierra and hated seeing it in the rear view mirror. I'll get the head rest sets later. I put down 1000 bucks deposit but won't finish the paperwork till the truck comes on.

I wanted to get the standard bed to match my 04 Sierra denali but it just felt so much longer and doesn't drive the same with the crew cab vs ex cab. I have been driving to drive my 04 in 2ws (quadrasteer) and I have to admit I have been struggeling haha. I am actually kind of regretting ordering the tv, but the kids love it in my wifes MDX and I said why not I'm already deep into the truck

They haven't told you the price for it or didn't want to share?

I drove a buddies chevy around and didn't notice a big difference. It is 9 inches though so I can see how someone would feel that way. I don't know what the final price will be, guess it depends on the month it arrives. I know I get some pretty good USAA/Military discounts to start with.

yea I got them to match Laura GMC so it was 53250 before rebates, so I think 2500 in rebates right now. Kind of sucks USAA doesn't combine with the 1000 gm cash, I thought I would be getting the 750 rebate and the truck right at 50k

50750 plus tax etc seems like a good/great deal to me for a msrp of almost 60k.

nope not yet., was shipped by ship on the 14th from mexico. Found out just today that it arrived in port (last couple of days who knows) but the dealer said they had 2 denalis on the ship, one being mine, but the other one showed up today at the dealer on the transport truck. So they said either tonight or tomorrow, but didn't know for sure.

Even more frustrating then before not knowing haha

I can't even get that specific of info. GM chat said it hasn't been shipped yet but the dealer says they are showing it should show up by the 5th....guess I'll just be surprised lol.

gm chat has basically been worthless, I have never had an est arrival date or anything. Actually all the info they have given me has been incorrect or not helpful. Right now I'm getting 2500 in rebates, 1500 gm loyalty and 1000 gm cash, they said the usaa 750 doesn't work with the 1500 loyalty. Told my dealer if it isn't here by the 2nd and lose my rebates I'm not getting the truck

Just text him and it isn't there, he said sometimes they come late night but they will know more tomorrow. The port is only a 3-4 hour drive to the dealer.

They really should give the higher rebate of when you order or when you pick it up. I have a Denali on order and have no idea what the rebates will be when it comes in. I was hoping a dealer would get a Denali in stock that was close enough to what I wanted and then I would know what the rebate are. I feel like I am playing the lotto right now, if I could pick the truck up today, I would get $2500 in rebates plus $2000 in GM card top off $.

I was very close to getting a new f150, even though I like the Denali better. I can get the same discount on the f150s as I can get on the Denali, and the f150 has some really nice features.
